You ask her! No, YOU ask her!

My next guest is here and the highlight of her trip may have already happened! Emily, a classmate from high school and now a fellow Cyclone, arrived Wednesday evening. She toured around on her own during the day while I was at work on Thursday writing about solar radiation's effects on astronauts and what warts are (yes, those were my assignments, haha). We met up with Natalie that evening and headed down to the East Village to go to the Max Brenner's- a restaurant that serves everything you could imagine that is chocolate...waffles with ice cream on them, chocolate pizza, chocolate soup. It was amazing. Mom- We will be hitting up this place when you come! :)

Emily decided she wanted real food and got pasta- still delicious. I went for a dish called "Chocolate Mess." When the waitress came out with our silverware, I was given the GIANT spoon to eat my "mess" with, while Emily was given the normal size spoon for her pasta.

Me with my "Chocolate Mess"- fresh baked chocolate brownie still hot in the pan, topped with ice cream and served with chocolate bits and caramel on the side. Mmmmmmmmmmmmm
NOW for the highlight...besides the ridiculously amazing dessert we dined on. As soon as we were seated, a group walked past and Emily turned to watch them walk to sit at the outside tables of the restaurant. I noticed her staring as she said, "Wasn't that Abigail Breslin?" (Abigail Breslin is the child actress in the recently released film My Sister's Keeper as well as Little Miss Sunshine and Signs.) We ate our dishes and watched Abigail slurp on her milkshake with her mom, a friend her age and the friend's mom. We saw a group of tween-age girls get their picture taken with her and decided that we wanted a photo too. After much debate as to whether or not we should walk down the sidewalk to talk to her or go to her table inside the restaurant gate, Emily got brave enough to politely ask Abigail for a photo. Yes. Three 21 year olds were nervous-excited to get a picture with a 13 year old girl. Pathetic, but hey, we have a picture with a celebrity! Actually we're more like best friends with her now...haha, just kidding!

Abigail, Emily, Hallie, and Natalie

Friday night we're going to another outdoor movie...which celebrity should we sit by?? :)
